TATTOO
CARE
Remember a tattoo is
just like a cut. Just as a cut can get infected, so can a
tattoo ..
Remove bandage
3-6 hours. Wipe area clean with wet cloth. DO NOT SCRUB
! Skin is very fragile. Apply a new layer of thick
ointment and re-cover tattoo with new covering. Do not use
soap or do not scrub soap over it. soap can cause
dryness. Use only Bacitracin or A&D Ointment, no other
type. Neosporin, Vaseline or Triple
Antibiotics
Ointments will not work. Do not soak tattoo in bathtub or
pool. This will remove ink. You must apply ointment for
at least 12-14 days until all dryness is gone, and the
new layer of skin is totally regrown over tattoo. The
thicker the ointment the better. a cover must be used.
If not, your clothing will wipe off the ointment.
If scabs appear,
the tattoo was not moist enough. Do not pick off loose
skin or scabs. Apply more ointment. until totally healed
stay out of the sun, the pool, and dirt until
completely
healed. Keep your tattoo clean. Do not use alcohol or
peroxide or salt water to clean your tattoo. If you have
brown or black skin, your skin will camouflage the colors
of a healed tattoo. For a few days ink or liquid may run
out from the tattoo, do not mistake it as an infection.
